The 2019 African Cup of Nations is underway, with the first match between hosts Egypt and Zimbabwe.

The opening ceremony was a display of Egyptian culture against a backdrop of exploding fireworks.

International singers Femi Kuti (Nigeria), Dobet Gnahoré (Ivory Coast), and Hakim (Egypt) also performed the tournament’s official song live on stage.
