“I Will Prove My Innocence” – Singer, R. Kelly

American singer, Robert Sylvester Kelly, otherwise known as R. Kelly, has reacted after he was convicted in sex trafficking trial.

The singer was found guilty of using his celebrity status to run a scheme to sexually abuse women and children for over two decades.

Eleven accusers; nine women and two men, took the stand over the six-week trial to describe sexual humiliation and violence at his hands.

 

After two days of deliberation, the jury found Kelly guilty on all the charges he was facing. R. Kelly is set to be sentenced at 10 a.m. on May 4th and may be sentenced to life imprisonment.

While he awaits sentencing the singer in a Facebook post however insisted that he’s innocent and would prove his innocence.

“To all my fans and supporters I love you all and thank you for all the support. Today’s verdict was disappointing and I will continue to prove my innocence and fight for my freedom. #notguilty.” He wrote.
