VIDEO: Youths Storm EFCC Office In Lagos Seeking Naira Marley Freedom
Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, courted controversy when he openly supported youths involved in online fraud commonly called ‘Yahoo Yahoo’.
Following his arrest last Friday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has preferred 11 charges bordering on fraud against him, including alleged credit card fraud.
Some of his loyal fans summon their courage by taking a bold step to protest the release of Naira Marley.
In the video, people were see shouting “Free Naira marley” they pleaded with the anti-graft agency to look for ways to de-escalate the situation given that Naira Marley is just growing in the industry.
Marley was arrested by the men of the EFCC on Friday, May 10, 2019 in the company of Zlatan Ibile and three others.
On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, Zlatan Ibile and three others were released on administrative grounds while Marley was retained over overwhelming evidence against him according to the EFCC.
